Watch Allan and Angus talk about the new model for IT consultancy and some of the pitfalls of the past. Here’s an excerpt:
[Angus responding to why tech consultants can't help enterprises] Yeah. I'm it's like asking why couldn't have dinosaurs evolved to, you know, meet the Ice Age. These organisations, the enterprise organisations, have grown up over many decades and have got into many bad habits and they rely on outdated economic models in terms of pricing which is, it's not transparent, it's fixed costs, it's multi-year contracts, it's all the things that today's modern organisations don't want. They've got into bad habits around their delivery models, believing in things like, "I must protect my own IP so that you, customer, have to be ready to buy my services forever", and, again, modern enterprises don't want that, they want to build their own capability . . .
